Scene to Song

Hannah Kohl worked in “the room where it happens” with Broadway musical team Ahrens/Flaherty (Anastasia, Ragtime, Seussical, Once on This Island). She’ll walk students through the whole process from scene to song!
Students at all musical levels will listen and analyze lots of music and scenes. Working together in small groups and as a whole team, they’ll write lyrics as composer Hannah helps shape the music. They’ll perform their final pieces at the end of the week. Kids who do not want to perform and just want to write are welcome, too!
